KABAN was born from a beautiful intersection of passion, purpose, and sisterhood.

Founded by Dr. Ashu Bhasin, a practicing dentist, and Varnica Jain, a marketing professional, KABAN is the result of two very different worlds coming together to create something timeless. While excelling in their respective fields, both sisters shared an obsession for design, detail, and the power of a well-made bag — not just as an accessory, but as an extension of one’s personality.

What started as a side hustle and creative exploration soon evolved into a hands-on journey through India’s fashion retail landscape. For over four years, the duo immersed themselves in everything from sourcing materials and understanding consumer preferences to studying international trends and building real relationships with artisans and suppliers. Through all the hustle, one dream stayed constant — to create a brand of their own, one that could bring global aesthetics to everyday wardrobes.
